My SOS, strength of schedule, is just the average of the points ratings for a team's in-scope opponents for games already played. It does not include games against out-of-scope teams. So, for instance, Clarkston girls, playing all non-league games against out-of-state schools, some of which are probably pretty good, gets no schedule strength contribution from those games. Bellevue girls, winning a presitigious tournament against out-of-state teams gets no boost from that. Oh well.
